YIL is recruiting 4039 Trade Apprentice positions under two categories:
- Non-ITI order - 1887 no's
- ITI order - 2152 no's

Eligibility Conditions:
- Eligibility criteria for every order are not the same. Just below is a general figure of eligibility criteria nation aspirant must be an Indian citizen.

Educational Qualification:
Qualification for campaigners varies for the orders of Non-ITI and ITI
- Non-ITI order
- The aspirant should have passed Class 10th (Matriculation) examination from a conceded board.
- They must have passed at least 50% total in Class 10th with minimal marks of 40% in Mathematics and Science.
- ITI order
- Aspirants must retain a National Trade Certificate from either National Council for Vocational Training(NCVT) or State Council for Vocational Training(SCVT).
- Only those aspirants with similar experience who retain the applicable trade internship from any recognized institution are eligible to apply for this category.
Age Limit:
The age criteria are as follows:
- Minimum Age: 15 years
- Maximum Age: 24 years
Age relaxation for campaigners belonging to SC ST/ Other Backward Classes according to the Government of India norms:
- OBC : 3 times
- SC/ST : 5 times
- PwD : 10 times
Selection Procedure:
The selection process for YIL Trade Apprentice recruitment is based on merit:
- Merit List: A merit list is created based on the candidate’s academic qualifications (Class 10th marks for Non-ITI candidates and ITI scores for ITI candidates).
