State Bank of India (SBI) has released employment notification for the post of  Apprentices under the Apprentice Act 1961 (as amended from time to time). Interested/Eligible candidate can apply online through SBI official website before the last date of submission.

➤ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :

Education Qualification : Graduation from a recognized University/ Institute. 

Age Limit :  Minimum 20 years and maximum 28 years as on 01.08.2023 i.e. candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1995 and not later than 01.08.2003 (both days inclusive).    Maximum age indicated is for unreserved and EWS candidates. Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable as per Government of India guidelines for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates. 

Note: Only “person with bench mark disability” would be eligible for reservation with not less than 40% of a specified disability where specified disability has not been defined in measurable terms and includes a person with disability where specified disability has been defined in measurable terms, as certified by the certifying authority. 

Duration Of Training :  Duration of training is of one year. 

Stipend / Benefits : The apprentices are eligible for stipend of Rs.15000/- per month for the engagement period of one year.  The apprentices are not eligible for any other allowances/ benefits.

➤SELECTION PROCESS: 

Selection for engagement of apprentices would be based on the basis of 

(i) online written test and (ii) test of local language.

(i) Medium of written test in Assam: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengal

(Note : Medium of written test in Other's State : According to state applied.)

The structure of online written examination (online objective type) would be as follows.

(ii) Test of Local language : The test for knowledge of specified opted local language will be conducted as a part of selection process. It will be conducted after qualifying the online written examination. Candidates who fail to qualify this test will not be engaged for apprentice. Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be required to undergo the language test. Candidates will have to appear for the test of specified opted local language at a centre (to be decided by the Bank) of the State applied for, at his/her own expenses., the SBI will not reimburse or bear any travelling expenses that may be incurred by the candidate for attending said test.
